Diogo, now known as Rodrigo Zárate, returns to his homeland to avenge the death of his parents, blaming Eduarda, the mother of his childhood friend, Amelia. After discovering the truth about his kidnapping and the death of his family, Rodrigo seeks evidence to imprison Eduarda, now the owner of the "La Fortuna" estate. Upon reuniting with Amelia, who runs an equine therapy foundation and is trapped in an unhappy marriage, Rodrigo rekindles the feelings of his childhood. However, his mission for justice becomes complicated when he falls in love with her. Amelia, torn between her loyalty to her family and her love for Rodrigo, must make difficult decisions, as they both confront secrets that will change their lives.
