Tsunami - Paluu paratiisiin

On boxing day in 2004, Liisa and Gerts were left fighting for their lives when the Asian Ocean tsunami hit their holiday destination in Thailand. Liisa lost her husband and two children and likewise Gerts lost his partner and two children. After the tragedy Liisa and Gerts connected in a grief support group and are now together. A diver, Jani Mäkinen survived the tsunami and worked on the rescue operation. A Finnish police officer Ismo Kopra, was sent to Thailand after the disaster and was responsible for identifying and sending home every deceased Finnish citizen. In the documentary, the survivors return to Thailand and revisit the place that changed their life forever.
