After his wife abandons him and his daughter dies in a fire, Leonel Carranza becomes a cold man eager for revenge. Convinced that the Palacios family is responsible for the tragedy that killed his daughter, Leonel forces Alba, the eldest daughter, to marry him, and she, pressured by family debts, is forced to accept. Despite the resentment that exists, both will discover that hate can turn into something much deeper. As if that weren't enough, the arrival in town of Sebastián Peñalosa, a doctor with secrets and obsessed with Alba, further complicates the situation. Amidst deceptions and challenges, Leonel must confront his demons and decide if he can repair his life and be happy before his thirst for revenge destroys everything he has left.
