In Inspectors, we get to follow the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's inspectors up close for the first time, in a dramatic and unvarnished encounter with a reality that most of us never get to know. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority is one of Norway's most important, and least known, emergency response agencies. They are responsible for everything that goes in and on our bodies, such as food, drinks, cosmetics and creams - in addition to animal welfare in Norway. They close restaurants, inspect food factories and stop dangerous imports at the border. Sometimes they have to euthanize animals that are illegally smuggled into the country, and respond when farms are affected by infectious diseases. Through eight episodes, Inspectors shows the people who make the toughest decisions when safety, health and lives are at stake.
