La Guerra Civil española (La aventura de la historia)

2005-01-01Ended1 seasons13 episodes~4 minSpainSpanishIMDb ›

The Spanish Civil War was a social, political and warlike conflict - which would later also have repercussions on an economic conflict - that was unleashed in Spain after the partial failure of the coup d'état of July 17 and 18, 1936 carried out by one party of the army against the government of the Second Spanish Republic. After the blockade of the Strait and the subsequent airlift that, thanks to the rapid collaboration of Germany and Italy, transferred the rebel troops to the peninsula in the last weeks of July, a civil war began that would end on April 1, 1939 with the last part of the war signed by Francisco Franco, declaring his victory and establishing a dictatorship that would last until his death in 1975. The war had multiple facets, as it included class struggle, religious war, confrontation of opposing nationalisms, struggle between military dictatorship and republican democracy, between revolution and counterrevolution, between fascism and communism.
