We know people who have severe obsessive-compulsive disorder. We follow eight people who have this diagnosis and see the strong consequences of the coercion they experience. Compulsion for washing, fear of injury, compulsion to count and fear of body fluids are some of the problems they struggle with. Through a treatment program at the Østmarka treatment center outside Trondheim, they are exposed to their worst fears, combined with the fact that they are not allowed to perform the coercive actions.
