On the Way in Southern Africa

In 2010 South Africa will host a soccer World Cup on African soil for the first time. But what do we know about southern Africa? It is the cradle of humanity, it stands for pioneering spirit and gold rush, music and attitude to life, but also colonialism and crime, apartheid, poverty and AIDS. Wilma Pradetto and Eberhard Rühle traveled through breathtaking landscapes, where they met very different people who talk about their worries, hopes and joys and provide information about their lives. An extraordinary trip through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, which are economically dependent on each other and at the same time proclaim their political independence. Three countries that have enormous natural resources and benefit from cross-border tourism.
