Missie Uruzgan

Due to the growth and development of the Afghan security services, people themselves are able to take control of parts of the province. The area where the Dutch reach the Afghan population in Uruzgan continued to expand. An entire provincial hospital with ambulance service was completed in Tarin Kowt. In 2002, only 9% of the population had access to a reasonable level of health care. This number has risen to 65%. The province currently has 174 medical aid posts.
