Nairn Across Britain

Writer and journalist Ian Nairn takes a trip across Britain by car, canal and train, following an imaginary straight line from London to Scotland (and avoiding motorways where possible). Along the way he investigates architecture old and new, famous and obscure, giving a snapshot of development as it was in 1972.
