Wild Italy

From the snow-capped Dolomites to the turquoise-blue Mediterranean Sea: many people are familiar with Italy's spectacular landscapes. But "Bella Italia" has much more to offer, namely a wild, unknown side!. Rare animals such as the Abruzzo chamois, pink flamingos and even basking sharks live away from the crowds of tourists and sought-after travel destinations. The two-parter "Wild Italy" portrays nature between the tip of a boot and the peaks of the Alps. In the episode "From the Alps to Tuscany" the focus is on northern Italy.
