Matterns Revier

The quirky Essen detective inspector Manfred "Der Mama" Mattern (Hansa Czypionka) is released into early retirement after suffering the second heart attack. To the annoyance of Chief Inspector Freitag (Sybille J. Schedwill), he doesn't think about stopping his criminal activity and takes care of smaller crimes in his immediate vicinity. His friends, who live on the edge of legality, often urgently need his help and Mattern does everything in his power to protect them from trouble. He doesn't always strictly follow the law.
