Through The Auctions

The incredible journey of exceptional pieces sold in auction houses in recent months. From Alain Delon’s Ferrari California Spider to Marie-Antoinette’s maid's travel kit, this documentary series recreates the past life of objects and works regaining their brilliance under the gaze of bidders. Remarkable by their manufacture, their use, their change of owners or destinations, these objects plunge us into unique universes and periods of history. The directors thus lead us into meticulous investigations in France and in Europe, which take us back in time and meet famous historical figures.
