Arabella

The young Arabella married Lorenzo Maccagno, son of Mr. Tonino, who is a skilled Milanese businessman, who came out of nowhere and who increased his wealth in a not quite honest way When his rich cousin Carolina Ratta was dying , went to visit her at night with the sole intention of modifying the will in his favor. In order to cancel the testimony of the concierge Beretta, who saw him rummaging in the flat, Maccagno denounced him for theft. He does not know that Beretta's son, Ferruccio, is secretly in love with his daughter-in-law, much less that Arabella reciprocates this tender affection. Well-made scripted, it has a remarkable, didactic and almost ironic attitude in observing the reality of the different environments. Based on the novel of the same name by Emilio de Marchi.
