Akte D

As part of the "History in the First" program brand, the investigative documentary series "Akte D" re-evaluates suppressed chapters of German post-war history. Each episode deals with a single topic, and the authors are keen to question and, if necessary, end decades of myths and legends. The topics covered include the resurgence of the German armaments industry after the Second World War, the power and scandalous history of the local pharmaceutical industry, the electricity companies and the railway's war legacy. The first season of the series was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2015.
