Diplomatic Corps

Behind the scenes of Belgian diplomacy. Diplomats think twice before speaking and then decide to remain silent. This quip is actively combated in Corps Diplomatique. In the four-part series on Canvas, Belgian diplomacy shows for the first time it has nothing to hide, but also how it works. After months of training, reporter Bart Aerts was given access to a number of diplomatic hotspots. He follows diplomats in key positions in New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Washington, Brussels and Bamako and he gets the finer points of diplomacy and politics to work freely in the stately Egmont Palace.
