Prohibition

In Finland, the Prohibition Act came into force in June 1919. It was to stop drinking alcohol and crimes from Finland. The opposite happened: the 1920s became a decade of violence and fumes. The effects of the Prohibition Act are even more apparent, 90 years later. During the law, the concept of "Finnish vodka" was instilled in the citizens, which had its roots in the beliefs of the 18th century. The Prohibition Act series tells how the Prohibition Act originated, what it caused, and why it ended.
