Spectacular Mountain Railways of the Swiss Alps

Swiss mountain railways travel through majestic landscapes and wind their way up spectacular peaks. They impress with a unique mixture of tradition, technology and nature. And cast a spell over people. Historic locomotives and railcars from the 19th century still travel the routes today with steam, sweat and instinct. Like their modern successors, which boast state-of-the-art engineering and technology.
